New Rebreathers @ DEMA 2007

Hi Folks!

For those of you who happen to be interested in a sneak pre-view of the Cis-Lunar mkVI...

The Swedish Rebreather day 2007 will be held at the Poseidon manufacturing plant in Gothenburg the week before DEMA (i.e. on the 20th of Oct) and among other very interesting stuff there will be a presentation and demo dive of the new Cis mkVI.

If someone is very interested and asks politely (-: i might translate the text into English.

Mark, you seem to know some top-secret details-
Will you still need to be a sumo sized atomic phyicist to change the scrubber, will a NASA Technician still be needed to help field strip it and will it be usable in the real world at last?

WRT Dema, anyone up for a Sweepstake, Stuart could donate a Rebreather World hat to the winner perhaps?

I'm in with 2 New (as in Never Before Seen) Rebreather's and 3 repeat appearances (Continued Vapourware Specials)

ANDI will be Booth #1759 directly across from Mares.. The booth will be a stand alone "island" 6 booths long by 2 wide!

It´s time for the 6th annual Rebreather-meet, this time in Gothenburg (finally!)

When: Sat, Oct 20th 2007, start @ 10.00

For Who: for rbinterested, active divers as well as curious prospects who want to meet likeminded people in a relaxed atmosphere for mutual exchange of experience and knowledge.

Goal: Spread of knowledge thru presentations and network-building meetings.

PROGRAM: Sat 20th october 2007
The first part of Saturday will be spent enjoying a few quality presentations on rebreathers and rebreather technology. The new Cis-Lunar Mk VI, Poseidon rebreather will be introduced after lunch. During the afternoon Poseidon staff will demonstrate the unit in the pool. The pool will be open to those who have their own Rebreather and want to see the new Mk VI in action.

NOTE: Poseidon are willing to give us a sneak-preview of the Cis-Lunar MkVI before it´s general release, a precondition for this oppurtunity is that those who participate during the afternoons demonstration sign a non-disclosure agreement that states that they are not permitted to pass on anything before the official introduction of MkVI at DEMA in USA 31/10-2007.

The speakers will, as usual, be knowledgeble and eloquent.

Those who want will be able to partake of beer and hotdogs in the "Chalmer diveclubs premises" during the evening, see Chalmers Dykarklubb - Startsida.

Program Sunday 21st oktober 2007
There are no planned activities for Sunday but we hope that the local Rebreather-crowd will be able to improvise something fun...

To register: Your space will be reserved once you´ve deposited 300 SEK at "Svensk Dykerihistorisk Förenings" account: 4400251-7 Please include activity (RB2007), name, telephonenumber and E-mailadress.

Included in the price: Access to presentations and coffee morning and afternoon. Lunch is not included.

OBS! Registration is binding and the number of participants are limited to 40.

MISC: DVDs with presentations from Rebreather-days RB2004 och 2005 will be available in limited numbers.

All profit from registration and DVD-sales will go directly to "Dykerihistoriska föreningen", SDHF.

The annual Rebreather-meeting in Sweden is a non-profit event with the sole aim to bring various people interested in Rb together for an open discussion. So far we have organized 5 events with varying level of ambition.

There are still seats available and if there will be people in the audience who does not understand Swedish the lectures could be presented in English.

Well we all remember all the buzz from last year's DEMA run-up on the Oceanic Rebreather... it seems they are getting serious about it this year.
