EUDI Show 2007

Nice spot the show in Rome, something different and Rome is a wonderful city, just a bit crowded.
Such a pain to stay there since 900 to 2000 every day! Maybe a bit too long.

Always more and more rebreathers are present, also there.
Aldo had most of the Rebreather on the market in his stand!!
Besides them there were a PSCR the RON, a new product from the SNSI (Gibbo you can explain the Space better than me, thanks), the new little brother of the Azimut, the Optima, etc. Quite interesting how the way is more and more turnig to the Black Sheeps Squadron.

I was at the IANTD and DeltaP stand with Simon and the Boris and I had many people interested to know something about rebreathers and, in particular, about the Ouroboros.
Sad to see that many VR3 dealers have just a little idea on the product so I met many divers asking for price, problems, etc about the VR3. Problems quickly resolved just with the knowledge...

I did see some agencies beginning to promote rebreather classes with SCR.
I wish them all the good ...

All the IANTD facilities present at the show also offered rebreather diving and classes.

TDI was represented by Aldo Ferrucci, he don't need much words. His stand was looking like a space museum: units everywhere... but the preferred are still Boris and Meg isn't Aldo?

I came for the Apero but it was too late and then I was too busy, we will do that...

Glad to have the opportunity to meet old and new friends, for me this is the main goal for every show.

So now, all the other guest, let's say something.

Nice to have met Aldo, Gibbo, Padav and the staff of Polo Sub Genova and Elba, the guys of the Argentario Divers (Simone and Stefania), DSA Shark and Co., Edo, etc...
It's a pity I didn't see Mario Marconi and Gabrielesub, next time...

You forgot to mention the old style tools:

A truck load of SCR/CCR. IDA 59, IDA71, IDA 57, RGU FM, Dolphin, Ray, FGGIII, FGT 1/D, CBDA (never heard before)...

Not to mention the 1952 Unimog.

And there was also the most incredible homebuild SCR i have ever seen:

It is made with some cookware, a bicycle inner tube, sewage's pipes and hydraulic connectors. But it is five years that a coral fisher use it in the 100-130m range, using a constant flow of nitrox and an increasing flow of pure helium as diluent.

Form this idea is under development a new set of SCR, the "SPACE", in many version, with many range of use. The shallower one is working as a CMF SCR and is scheduled to stay in 40 meters, the deepest one is made for 120 meter and use the constant flow of nitrox plus pure helium as a diluent (and a third trimix bottle for emergency/washing fo counterlung).

I will be more specific on the Space in next days, when i will have more time to describe everything.

Hi Nad, gibbogeo.

I have to agree the EUDI show this weekend was well attended and some new things to look at.

I have a short video interview with Simon Pridmore from Delta P about the Universal Rebreather Monitor and I will post it in the Gallery section in the next day or so.

I did see some tables but I don't think they have the CCR, I have to check it out.

I really wanted to go but the 28 is my daughters birthday and not even i can get to go galavanting around Italy with my dive buddies on that day!!

For the tables don't worry, i'll get in touch with Carla myself.

I've been 'off' for a bit, my eletronics where away being serviced........for a couple of months

anyway there back now so i'm getting them wet at every oppotunity, maybe we'll bump into eachother sometime for a dive, or a beer, or a dive and then a beer......
