Problem w/ new DiveLog software...

Hoping someone might have a hint or two, or post the exe....

Installed and Uninstalled a few times, keep getting a box...

"Shearwater Deaktop Error" [sic]
"Shearwater Desktop could not be started, "DiveBook.exe" missing.

"c:\program files\Shearwater Research\Desktop" folder only has 4 files after install...
debug_log.txt
DeviceConnector.exe
InTheHand.Net.Personal.dll
and Uninstall.exe

Contents of debug_log.txt....

Are you using the first released version on the website - 1.0?

If not, I suggest uninstalling the old one and installing the new one.

Otherwise, please send us an email that we can put into the non-conformance process.

It may be a Vista thing. The program loads fine on my XP machines but on my Vista machine the only thing that gets loaded is the stuff in the start menu. There is nothing anywhere else including a folder on my hard drive.

I'm on XP... Yesterday's code was 0.9.9... Todays is 1.0.0... :) But I think I'm in a MSIExec loop as corporate has been trying to push down PointSec, and when I tried to manually install AIR, it came up w/ a msiexec error saying something else's install was in progress.... So I'm going to sort out these today before I raise the white flag...

OK this is probably a silly question so feel free to give a silly answer but I have installed the newer 1.0.0 version and still cant get my pursuit to connect to it.

I get no error message or anything just the nice flashing arrows and nothing more even if I leave it to sit there.

Yes, after I was able to get a good install worked fine w existing irda drivers.

Hi Thumpr,
Had the same problem with Version 1.0.0 and Windows 7. What it finally made work was:

A.) I deinstalled Adobe Air
(that made the installation of Ver.1.0.0 work properly since Adobe Air is included)

B.) Deactivated UAC
(that enabled Version 1.0.0 to write temporary files in the app. folder when transfering data from the divecomputer to my PC)
