Sentinel Upgrades

I have just had an email from CCRB, all mods which need carried out after last weeks trip are now available.
Some i knew about and some are new to me, but i think they have reacted very quickly (2-3 DAYS) to these modifications.

Still happy with unit and weather is crap so it wont be too much of a pain to send it back

Mine is going back friday and its getting new handset cover clips, new barrel in mouth piece and new switches in handsets. The temp stick is also getting an overhaul.

The other mods that people wanted are different length of inflator hose not many liked using it from the side. There is a few mods in the software to make things clearer.
I had a bit of a joke with kev about mine being the friday unit but to be honest i learned so much with the little faults.
I cant remember much else now but when i do i will post them

Re: Sentinel Upgrades

Thanks!

Sounds like a great unit...

I saw it this weekend side by side with a Boris. It was a lot larger in real life that I had expected. The depth of the unit appears to be the same as the Boris.

A lot of people said something similiar but when they dived it nothing more was said, the scrubber seems to last but as Mod 1 i will renew every three hours

If you saw it next to Boris at Beneath the Sea (where I saw it next to Boris this past weekend), I asked the staff about that. (It looked considerably bigger than Boris.)

They told me the model they were showing was the pre-production prototype (presumably the one from the other dive show photos we've seen) and that the production model was both smaller and more cleanly laid out.

Re: Sentinel Upgrades

Just 3 days after returning from the Red Sea, they already have an answer to all the issues we experienced during the training. That's what I call service!

Issues address are as follow:

Software (will be e-mailed).
Mouthpiece inner barrel.(replaced)
ADV diaphragm (please return the existing diaphragm for modification).
A display bezel upgrade kit.
HUD bracket (please return existing item).
Mouthpiece hose ends (please return existing items x2 )
TPM cable, TPM probe and spring base and filter release clips (please return existing items).
Filter warning label (replaced).
Badge (replaced)
Filter lid release screws (please return existing items).
Oxygen regulator to gas block hose (please return existing item).

Basically it is just returning the head and few pieces!

My unit is working fairly well at the moment, so I am going to build up some hours on it before I decide to return it. The main safety issue is the units with the HP transducer problem. These should be return asap and not dived. You can put standard pressure gauges if you really need to dive the unit.

But once again they have shown us with the service they provide that we made the right decision purchasing a Sentinel!

Cheers,
