![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Sentinel Upgrades an update for you guys, ive not spoken to any of the chaps or chapess' who were on the red sea training course, so i'm not sure what mods have been done electronically to their units when they sent them in for the updates. My unit went in to Closed Circuit Research on monday (yesterday) I rang to confirm arrival yesterday and had a pleasant chat with Al regarding unit updates. even though my unit only suffered one software glitch during the whole weeks diving, he informed me my unit will get the same mods as the other units and will be returned with various changes, of which, if I am honest have faded into memory for 3 reasons: 1. My unit didn't suffer something that bugged me enough to commit it to memory, i had a very pleasent weeks diving, on a unit that once calibrated on day one didn't budge from cal the whole week and still had over 60% battery life remaining from the initial charge done at the factory! 2. Most of the things were things I knew of before leaving the red sea, like i said I hadn't personally suffered any of the problems with my unit, but i had witnessed or heard people mention some of the problems, although credit where credit is due, Kev and his crew were diligent in the logging and studying of each problem and in some cases liasing with the factory to establish a fix before we even left the red sea. a keen show that all problems were to be sorted! things such as; the strain relief of the internal cables, the switch mods to the handsets, the clips for the bezels, yadda, yadda, etc, etc. 3. and the last reason ive forgotten some of the modifications, is the fact i've slept since engaging in the afore mentioned conversation. ![]() He did have some news i was unaware of which sort of stuck out in my mind, he mentioned some changes to the electronics including changes to the DVO screen and others things (which unfortunately have also fallen foul to point 3) the one electronics mod that did hold particular interest for me was: You now have the option to choose LED or PO2 for the HUD, LED is the standard settings (as we had in the red sea and as described in darkwater's report) and PO2 now gives you the option of it displaying the same information pertaining to PO2 as the ouroboros' , i.e. high & low PPO2 indication via a flashing green LED. will update this page with the noticeable modifications when i get my parts back in a couple of weeks .regards si.
