Hi Marvintpa,

No I think the weights are a little bigger than the Inspiration ones although I do stand to be corrected.

There are two weight pockets set fairly high on the back of the wing these appear to be trimming weight pouches.

Hi Pawel,

The total weight including cylinders etc is 40kg but I would assume cylinders would not normally be taken when travelling so the unit would be about 32kg for flying.

However I am taking the complete kit and also video equipment etc etc to the Red Sea trip next week and the airline Thompson Fly allow you to pay an extra £60 for basically unlimited weight of diving gear for both legs.

Barrie be careful, I use that service a lot and the £60 only covers you for one more bag of dive gear, strictly speaking its also only 20kgs but I have got away with 30kgs but you must have the printed recipt with you to show at check in. if they hit you for excess at the airport its £9.50 a kilo each way!!

Hi Dave,

Thanks for the heads up I thought it looked a bit 'to good to be true' but combine london Gatwick with airline check-in and excess baggage and I'm normally lucky to get out without being arrested.

The case will be about 40kg.....

IHi, I had 7 trips last year to the red sea, and 3 times BIG trouble with weight, flights from, Belgium; germany and the netherlands, new rule:Please visit our Thomsonfly baggage information page for full, up to date information. Further information is also available in Our Conditions of Carriage page. Please note, any one piece of luggage must not exceed 32kg as this exceeds the recommended guidelines for airport baggage handlers to lift. this ia european rule, not a air line specific; I needed even to buy a second bag to get the weight seperated.

I will seperate the weight into 2 travel cases well one box and a bag on wheels with a max of 32kg in each and see how I get on?

That looks a bit on the heavy side, I thought the Sentinel was comparible to APD's Evolution weightwise?
