![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Baby Boris's big day out Hang on hang on.....Ive seen something looking almost exactly like that somewhere else its a factory combined BOV/ADV with an xtream![]() Ok well just the case is the same ![]() http://www.rebreatherworld.com/close...titan-ccr.html Is the factory calling this the baby boris or is that from here? If this is the BABY Id hate to see the MAMA! Looking at the pics Boris looks like it has a smaller profile handsets look nice - and is that a factory BOV I see? Looks like it incorporates a Xstream 2nd stage The factory are calling it Sentinel The manikin is life sized The scrubber can is rather fatter than a meg with the lid on its going to be a bit deeper than an inspo, but not OTS lungs. |

The Sentinel shown in the photos is a military version and a prototype at that. The Sentinel for us mere mortals, will be smaller, and come in thinner than the profile of an Inspiration with OTS C/Ls as mentionned above. This is a very well thought out eCCR, designed to cover a significant market spectrum, for ab-initio to experienced CCR divers. There are a lot of neat features that will be revealed in detail at the NEC diveshow. I have had one on order from the moment that I was told about it. I have seen some of the components and am very impressed. I will be offering training on this unit after the instructor training in January. Thanks to Kevin and his team for bringing the Sentinel to market. I am sure it will be a winner. Cheers, Dave.

Mostly lets pray that the prototype developes more than the Boris did from 1st draft to public release, everything I've seen of the Boris so far has been dissapointing, its impressive but seems unfinished- or is it just me that got that impression? Back to the Sentinel- Why show something thats so far from finished? Even silly details like the tanks not being level makes it frankly alittle embarrasing. The Sentinel for us mere mortals, will be smaller, and come in thinner than the profile of an Inspiration with OTS C/Ls as mentionned above. Which sounds much more like it... however I'd be surprised if their business model allowed for two similar but incompatible models, surely the basic structural parts and hence the size must have some similarities? Time will as ever tell I'm sure This is a very well thought out eCCR, designed to cover a significant market spectrum, for ab-initio to experienced CCR divers. Looks like I'll have to visit them then, sounds far more impressive than the military versions spy-shots would suggest. There are a lot of neat features that will be revealed in detail at the NEC diveshow.
