Wanted: Operating manual for Drager Oxyguage

List: A friend of mine recently purchaced an Oxyguage for his Dolphin. Apparently he did not get the operating manual for the unit and would like one. Anyone have one that can be e-mailed to me at petepiemonte@aol.com?
He specifically requires information about the battery that is required. He would also like to buy a plug to use in the inhalaton CL when the Oxyguage is not being used.
Any help would be appreciated. Peter

Hi Othman,

the devices are quite different, the Oxygauge just monitors the ppO2, nothing else.
The OXY2/Aladin Air Z combi monitors the ppO2, shows percentage and calculates NDC or DC time and CNS of course. In fact it is a diving computer!

So you are looking at two complete different types of monitor.

Of course the OXYgauge is much cheaper (ideed anyway too expensive, there are many other ppO2 monitors available, check web) compared to the OXY2/Air Z combi.

For diving SCR, the more expensive OXY2/AirZ combi is the best choice. But you can not use this for CCR mode. The OXY2 is not calculating in CCR mode. He is showing data, but forget all about NDC, DC times and so on, just use it as a monitor when diving CCR.

Greetings
Martin

The Apeks Pulse is a simple nitrox computer, and does not have any O2 monitoring capability that the OXY2/Aladin Air Z combination, a Dräger Oxyguage, or a VR3 w/O2 sensor would give you. It will give you decompression information, however it would not be able to monitor your O2 in your breathing loop.

Ok

So the o2 monitoring( Oxygauge or the Aladdin ) is onlymonitor on the breathing loop right?Ok I understand now. Ok I would soon will be interested to make my Dolphin to CCR as when I brought it , it comes with a CCR improvised CCR device. The owner told me the Dolphin can be convert to CCR anytime i want as the device were given to me inclusively with the price . So anyone here can suggest to me which device to use now for future . • The the OXY2/Aladin Air Z combination gives you O2 monitoring and the classic dive computer bells and whistles. However, the Oxy2/Aladin combination is pretty much limited to the Dolphin. If you plan to go onto CCR, trimix, or anything more technical, it is going to be limited.
  • The Dräger Oxygauge is simply an O2 monitor. There is no decompression model involved.
  • The Delta P VR3 is the most expensive option, however, it is going to grow with your needs. It works as a simple air computer, it works as an O2 monitor on SCR, it will work on CCR, and it'll work on nitrox, heliox, trimix, and is upgradable.
Ultimately, you need to look at each option individually, decide what you need it for now, how much you are willing to spend, and where you want to go with it in the future.
