I've my own spreadsheet that I use with the formulae above, I haven't seen the TDI one [noth that I know of anyway], but someone posted another spreadsheet based one that had the loop fO2 increase when the vO2 rose for the figures I was using!

Pretty handy, just PC based though. I am a certified Dolphin Diver (back in 2001) and was not told of such software - maybe it did not exist. Do you know of a trial version that I may be able to get my hands on. I have seen the various models that Freef has posted here, and they work great. Just want to see what is out there. Can NEVER be too informed. Let me know. Thanks. -Adam ajjaffe@earthlink.net Last edited by ajjaffe : 6th February 2007 at 14:55. |

Do you know of a trial version that I may be able to get my hands on. Its only 1 cd, 1 simple exececutable windows app. Its about $20 from any TDI dive shop in your area. If you can't find one let me know and I can sell a copy to you. TDI does not sell direct to divers.I have seen the various models that Freef has posted here, and they work great. ![]() | Re: Semi Closed Rebreather diving gas calculations. ![]() I don't think they sell software for Apples anymore. They might have it for Macintosh, but I kinda doubt that too. ![]() Apple - Macintosh. Do not want to get into the semantic debate. Nor do I want to start the debate over Windows v. Mac OsX. However, I do have a Mac Powerbook and was curious if the software would run on this. I would be willing to pay the $20 USD to see it. I have seen on other threads that when considering the Dolphin CCR it would be wise to take a KISS class and review the KISS manual and KISS the Dolphin. I am in NO WAY, SHAPE, OR FORM ready for this, but I would like to make the most of my Dolphin diving experience. Knowledge and wisdom are the strongest deterrents to doing stupid things. I have done enough of those in my life. I just want to be safe and enjoy diving. I am sure that WE ALL got in Rebs because we want to make the most of diving and make it as safe and long as possible. Well, this rant has gone on for long enough. -Adam |

I hear you. I just doubt that they sell software for Mac, especially for something so specialized. You could probably do it through Bootcamp or VirutalPC, or wait until Jaguar comes out, and then run Windows apps natively through the MacOS. I know that one of my friend uses a Powerbook, and he has to go into VirtualPC everytime he wants to download his dive logs from Suunto. Suunto has a lot of resources and has never bothered to write MacOS software, so I doubt TDI would write any for Mac either. Diving just doesn't seem to be Mac friendly.I have seen on other threads that when considering the Dolphin CCR it would be wise to take a KISS class and review the KISS manual and KISS the Dolphin. It is real hard having a Mac sometimes. I am running Air Z O2, and cannot get an answer from UWATEC as to whether it will REALLY work or not. I first have to find an IrDA connector that will work on a Mac first!!!That aside, I do have VirturalPC, but I hate using it, for the obvious reasons. On this note, do you have a copy of the program that DevilGas was talking about? Have you used it? Is it much different than the Xcel spreadsheet that Freef did? Just looking for an impression. Thanks. -Adam |

I don't, but I'm sure Devilgas can get it for you. He trained me for technical a couple of years ago. He now manages Dixie Divers in Ft Lauderdale, so if he says he can get it for you, you can count on it. You might want to PM him. Of course, you can wait a couple more months and wait for Jaguar, aka Vista 2.0, and it should work fine. I just don't know about the IR thing. I'd like to get a Macbook as well, but I'm not sure how well it would work with a VR3, even with Jaguar. That aside, I do have VirturalPC, but I hate using it, for the obvious reasons.
