| Re: Sodasorb 6-12 as replacement for Divesorb in Dolphin? Quote: (Originally Posted by obakesan82) Ok I know that Divesorb has slightly larger granule size as well as a slightly different form than 6-12 Sodasorb which means the canister will pack slightly tighter and may have a slightly higher WOB but are there any other factors that would make me not want to use Sodasorb? I might be able to get a very decent deal on some Sodasorb which would save me some cash. Opinions from the more experienced folks? I am ok with a slightly higher WOB and perhaps slightly shorter canister duration. I use primarily Grace Sodasorb due to the price and have never had a problem with dust, yes there is a bit of dust at the bottom of a keg 6-12 compared to Sofnolime 8-12. Thanks! My recommendation would be for 4-8 Grace for the dragger for the wob. I have used Dragersorb, Sofnolime and Grace in 4-8 and can see no appreciable difference in quality of the grain, with Dragersorb being the most expensive then Sofnolime. Grace Sodasorb is a very good value price per weight. Since the price is reasonable, you don’t feel compelled to stretch the time recommendation. Change early and often…. Another option to consider is the Extend Air RPC cartridge as my experience on the Dolphin is that a leak or water intrusion almost immediately goes to the inhale hose. They breathe very easy, and the retrofit canister is easy to load and install. The price is currently higher for operating hours, but consider the advantages. Deep Thought P.S. raining today in Lake City so I escaped the blizzards only to sit under my bumpershoot. ccr caving tommorrow. ![]() |

| Re: Sodasorb 6-12 as replacement for Divesorb in Dolphin? Wow thanks for all the info! I am going to pick up a single tub since it is a good deal but pass on buying all ten. I am going to purchase the Extendair cartridge shortly but I saw this deal and figured this is the place to ask. Thanks again! ![]() |
