The standard one is a bit short for cold hands in thick gloves. Andrew Real quick, I don't know of anyone making longer gate levers for the Dolphin, However I have a few suggestions if your finding it difficult to operate with thick gloves; Some times the DSV becomes very sticky/stiff and the DSV just needs to be disassembled, cleaned and re-lubricated. Here is what I use to do when I dove the Dolphin Disassembly Remove hoses and check valves from DSV If you open the DSV and look into it you should see a flat headed screw. While pushing in on the gate lever, take a flat bladed screw driver and unscrew the screw (NOTE- make sure you unscrew the screw and NOT the other way around; holding the screw with the screwdriver and using your fingers to unscrew the gate lever, You WILL DESTROY the gasket below the gate lever if you do it the wrong way!) Once the screw is un screwed, remove it, the gasket and the gate lever. look at the DSV through the inhale or exhale side and you should notice a gold barrel inside the DSV. This needs to come out, push it out using you fingers (Don't use a hammer ) Once you push out the barrel the DSV is now completely disassembled and ready for cleaning:DO NOT REMOVE the BLUE "H" style o-ring on the gold barrel. Thoroughly clean all of the gross parts in warm soapy water (use a tooth brush). Once cleaned, dry off. Reassembly: Using O2 lubricant thoroughly cover the outside of the brass barrel where the Blue O-Ring is and in between. slide the barrel back into the DSV (it should slide in much easier then it came out) Put the screw in through the hole, slide the gasket back on (NOTE: If the gasket is damaged through it out and replace with new, I've seen to many leaks in that area from diver's not taking care of them properly) Start putting the gate lever back on, once you get it within 3-4 threads of being tight, push in on the gate lever to keep the gasket from being spun around and damaged and use the screwdriver to tighten the rest of the way. Do not over tighten it! You should notice a huge difference in the ease of operation! Even with the thick gloves! Good luck and let me know if this helps ![]()
