Question Use of a Ray Bypass w/ normal 1st stage ?

Hello !

During the last months, I had the opportunity to buy some parts of the Ray, including the 32% and 50% bypass (I planned to turn it to an ADV, but I changed my mind).

I considered building my own SCR at the moment, with the bypass, but I don't really want to buy the dräger 1st stage, and the specific tank.

So I was wondering: is it possible to use the 32% Ray Bypass (and/or 50%) with a "standard" 1st stage regulator (like a Poseidon, or Apeks DS4) ?

Many thanks in advance for your help (and sorry if my question is too "basic")

It should be, the ray is a normal 1st stage, rather than a special fixed IP one like the dolphin.

I agree with Dave - the Ray bypass works a treat with my Apeks DS4's

you should never the less mesure the flow rate just to be sure that a sligth difference in IP between the original ray reg and the one you will use won't reduce the surface flow rate.
