Luxfer 27 cf AL Tanks

I'm looking for a couple of Luxfer 27cf aluminum tanks with standard 3/4 thread. I already have the valves, so if you have them without valves, that's ok. Either way is good for me. I really need one, but if I could get an extra that would be great. Anybody got one or two? New or used. Prefer USA so the shipping won't be a hassle. Thanks, FD.

Re: Luxfer 27 cf AL Tanks

I called one of my old vendors today about the Luxfer AL27's.
They (XsScuba in Calif USA) cinfirmed that the 27 is no longer made. The AL 30 competes too closely with it. Too bad. I've used the squattly little buggers on the Meg and they worked/fitted the CCR quite well.
Search on my friend, search on.

I have 2 Luxfer 27 cf AL tanks with Draeger valves. You said you don't need the valves but I am selling everything for $300 + shipping.

You know the LP27 and the HP30 is essentially the same cylinder. Just made from a different alloy so it has a higher PSI rating. The dimensions and buoyancy characteristics are damn near identical.

The Worthington HP30's are still for sale in places.

Re: Luxfer 27 cf AL Tanks

You are not the only one looking for the Luxfer 27 cu ft aluminum tanks.

I need one too. The 30's are just too long.
