Sore spots on my lung.

I have a couple of small discoloured patches on the inhale lung of my Dolph, 50 odd hours use from new.

It appears to be from rubbing, but there doesn't appreat to be any real abrasion-yet.

Has anyone else had this? I'm probably going to stick a couple of push bike inner tube repair patches on them [from the outside] to see what happens and prevent further damage.

And there's me reading the title of your post and thinking Poor love's not very well. Too much rubbing, you say. All sorts of abrasion possible from that. Inner tube patches? Sounds a bit Heath Robinson to me. How about a new inhale lung from the manufacturer.

Sorry David but couldn't resist!

Re: Sore spots on my lung.

Noticed the same thing on the one I used last weekend. Considering the ADV/Dosage unit is quite solid (heavy) and can knock against the scrubber canister through the lung when in use, I'm not surprised that "bruising" of the counterlung starts to appear. If one were to put a neoprene sleeve around the scrubber, or at least between the scrubber and the inhale lung, this might be avoided.

'Cos the old ones ain't dead. It's only a slight rub, not structural yet. And you would know all about blowing into things that may need a puncture repair kit judging by the way you jumped on Resuss Annie.

All the best to the family, hope to catch up for a dive one day.

Re: Sore spots on my lung.

...I look forwards to shoving an electrical cable up your trouser leg again as well...or were you the trainee on that one?

Seeing you licking your lips before 'helping' Annie is something I'm still having counselling for.

Are you still on Mod 1, or have you gone on from there?

Re: Sore spots on my lung.

Had an abrasion line on my inhale side too. About 1/3 down the bag. Patched with number of small patches in a line so bag wouldnt stiffen up. Better than waiting for it to rub thru and cheaper than a new one. Still cant identify what the culprit is.
