| small improvement on a Dolphin DSV Hi all, because of a dry long period and a new barrel for the dolphin dsv, I decided a small improvement in order to get a smoother functionment. First, by polishing the inner side of the dsv with a Dremel and its polishing paste : even with a good cleaning, some wearing out appeared at light, where the blue o-ring moves. Now its like ice... Second, I changed the original black plastic opening lever by a longer nut (ok, from an Ikea bed, according to the notice) : better with gloves. third, from a small plastic tube, I made a removable extension just in case the DSV becomes stiff. I don't know if this have been made before (and remind that the only valuable grease for it is really the Molykote 111. Don't ask me how I know that ). attached, a picture of the whole thing. | Re: small improvement on a Dolphin DSV Is the DSV from a Dolphin or an Atlantis? Or is the picture you posted before you completed assembly of the DSV? I ask because it looks like the threaded section for the hoses is missing. Good work nevertheless.

| Re: small improvement on a Dolphin DSV yes, it's from an Atlantis DSV. the new long nut is not SS, but since it's a M6 thread, I suppose I can find something equal in shipchandlers. |
