Angry Freef appeals.

All,

I've had a major computer problem and lost everything, and the backup was corrupted as well.

I could do with the following files and articles if anyone has them:

Dolphin manual [electronic copy]
Ray manual [electronic copy]
Drager Dolphin service/repair manual
Drager Dolphin parts list
My SCR gas matching spreadsheets
My SCR trimix spreadsheet [I may not have sent this to anyone]
Drager cannister duration information
My SCR article [the 4 page one on here, not the one in the library]-"Word" version
My trimix article-"Word" version

Please DO NOT email these to me yet as I still have to sort that side of things out, but tell me what you have on here then I will email you later.

4Ster, I could do with a copy of your tables for gas matching again too.

Thanks to all in advance, greens pending. Needless to say, I am not a happy bunny...

Re: Freef appeals.

Before you get carried away with re-installing, I have some data recovery software which might enable you to retrieve something. A bit technical but worth it if you have lost something irrecoverable... Won't work if you've installed over the top of the mess though.

The owner's manuals also available from jj-technique

Dräger cannister duration is available from Aqualung

Good luck

Re: Freef appeals.

Too late for recovery.

I think that my registry copped one as all of a sudden various drivers bit the dust. I did a files and settings transfer to an external hard drive, but that is corrupted too. I couldn't get the files totransfer or even open!

I have managed to cut and paste from here to Word and that seems to work, so I should get the big articles back [hopefully!]

I've lost 2 years of trip reports and loads of digi photos which is annoying.

Its extremely likely that the bulk of your data is recoverable, even if the entire operating system got trashed. This may mean using a 2nd system and hooking the old drive up as a 2nd drive and then running file recovery software on it, but its highly unlikely its all gone if you want to recover it. Even formatting a drive often doesn't actually destroy all the data unrecoverably. PM me for more details/phone contact if you want more details.

I don't have a copy of your work, but i have lot of documents about Draeger, some in english (form the old draegerlist) , some in french (from the old french draegerkiss list), some in german (i don't remember where i get them).

When your problems with the hard disk are sorted, send me a private message, and i will upload them on my server and pass you the address to download them (but don't give the address to other, my server is not so powerful and i should work with it).
