Scrubber use in the Dolphin.

The following are pics I took when using colour changing Spherasorb on Monday 2nd July.

I didn't want to dig out the scrubber on site as it was intermittently pithing it down, so after I got home I sat on the unit for 20 min to get some colour back.

The pics are fairly poor as I dug out more of the scrubber, and as I had put 143 minutes on the scrubber in water of 10-14 C before breathing it on the surface the reaction probably didn't get a chance to change the colour properly.

At the top of the scrubber [the exhale side] it's all used apart from the rim where the rubber seal around the mesh sits.

An inch lower and there is evidence of equal useage of the scrubber.

Just above the rubber dam the edges don't get used.

The other side of the dam the scrubber is used more evenly.

five inches from the top and the use is still even, although all the purple bits may not be showing after 20 min breathing at the surface.

Re: Scrubber use in the Dolphin.

Nice study, although it just confirms what I always believed that the dolphin had a fairly respectable scrubber.
Thanks for posting.

By the power of paintbrush I bring you what the scrubber use looked like-approximately, anyway.

If I get the chance later in the 'summer' [don't laugh too hard] I'll dig it out after a couple or three hours use to check the colour.
