![]() | Re: RON - Feedback Hi Guys, I would like to hear if anybody in here has some experience with the RON? does anybody have an experience with RON rebreather? I would like to try this unit and if it works well for me I would also be happy to get one. Best regards, Frank I know the thread has taken an other direction. Thanks RL

![]() ![]() | Re: RON - Feedback This is what our group have exp on the Tourill wich is basically the same unit. Finish and assembly We find the technical construction and finish very well made, also regarding weakness due to multiple dissembles during maintenance. Experienced problems On depth greater than 60 – 65 mod, increased gas consumption is noticed. We find the internal Scubapro R290 gas addition valves leaking below approximately 60 mod. Reason, used together with Apeks 1st stages regulator designed to overcompensate intermediate pressure at depth. Combination of Scubapro and Apeks regulators is not recommendable on extended depth dives. Changes we have made Dust from lime intends to enter the inhale breathing houses. We have installed a 60% filter between mesh and upper frame in top of Co2 scrubber to prevent dust entering the breathing houses. On frame, front lower edge tends to damage boats and surfaces when placing the unit upright. Changes are made by bending this edge backwards. Dives made Most comon dives are 60 – 90 mod. run time 1 - 1,5 hours. 13 deep dives 80 – 125 mod. All togeter, aprx 100 hours on each of two out of three units. Conclusion We used the unit together with 2x12L 232 bar steel tanks and find the Tourill very well functioning.
