80% jet for dolphin

ok we all know that drager dont sell jets at 80% for the dophin(right).but i want one so is there anybody who knows where i can have one made up .the reason i would like one is that im going to put a second 1st stage on to the loop and put 80% through for deco .can this be done without killing myself.(i did think about the 100% jet but maybe not) steve

Why not just use the 60% orifice with 80%mix? You'll get more O2 in the loop that way

Re: 80% jet for dolphin

Seconded. You need to look at your vO2 and match that to a flow rate and gas choice. Odin used high O2 through a jet for his deco dolphin.

Have a look at the attached spreadsheet which calculates loop fO2 from cyl fO2 and jet sizes.

83% through the 60% jet should get you 80% in the loop with a vO2 of 1.

Fitting a T piece so that your bypass can still operate would be a good idea [see Tecme] as well so you can loop flush as soon as you hit 9m and get straight onto the deco gas.

The 80% jet wouldn't actually supply a loop fO2 of 80% anyway, as the slower flow rate would mean that you recycled the gas more often than on a higher flow rate.
