anyone happen to know the fluid volume of the Drager Dolphin inhale and exhale lung? Also, volume of the bags when fully inflated in the case (obviously restricted a bit)?

Re: volume of Dolphin lungs?

I can't find any info, but the book gives the loop volume as 10.5 litres.

If you have the hoses, mouthpiece, scrubber and a measuring jug handy you can work it out for yourself .

At a rough guess I'd put the exhale at 1.5-2L and the inhale at 6 ish.

Re: volume of Dolphin lungs?

Plug in some blind-stops and fill them with water. That way you can measure it very fine. Good luck

Re: volume of Dolphin lungs?

"The breathing cycle depends upon the setting of the overpressure valve. The flow volume will be a maximum of 7.1 liters, which includes the inhalation and exhalation sides. Including the scrubberunit the total volume of the breathing cycles is about 10.5 liters."

Chapter 5, page 43 in my Dolphin manual.

Best regards

Re: volume of Dolphin lungs?

My manual is on loan at the moment, I remembered the 10.5l figure.

My lungs are in the bath at the mo being cleaned, if I can find a measuring jug I'll have a measure later.
