![]() | Drager Ray "Must Buy Accessories" Calling all Drager Ray divers... I just bought Drager Rays for myself and my girlfriend and would like to know what accessories are "must buy" for traveling(internationally) and diving the units. Obviously the first purchase will be ppO2 monitoring(thinking TecMe) but what else needs to be changed on the unit to make it easier to take and dive... adapters, tanks, valves....??? Any advice? Thanks Mark |

![]() | Re: Drager Ray "Must Buy Accessories" From memory the 40% is about 10.5 litres a minute. It comes with an instruction to use a larger cylinder, 7 or 8 litres. thanks for the info. although i'm a bit confused, i read in the drager ray manual that the scrubber would only last around 70-80 minutes, however, reading around in this forum some said that the scrubber should last around 2 hrs or so.. can anybody confirm this? or is the 2 hrs scrubber duration comes with an upgraded unit/accessories or something. thanks Regards Dave ![]() |

| Born Again Diver! ![]() Current Rebreather/s: | Re: Drager Ray "Must Buy Accessories" Drager released a paper saying that in half decent conditions, the Ray scrubber is rated for 110 minutes. (This statement was apparently only release d outside the US market). The document is floating around somewhere on the web, giving the exact conditions etc. The also did something similar for the dolphin. Cheers Dave |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Drager Ray "Must Buy Accessories" I would get the adaptor as already mentoned so you can use any DIN tank with the Ray. If you go abroad then you probably won't get Drager valved tanks. Also, be aware that the Ray is rated for a tank pressure of 200 bar, 232 should be OK, but higher and you might be pushing your luck a bit. You will need some spares such as O rings, if you are going a long way from civilisation youmay need to look a large toolbox and spares so that a small problem doesn't stop you diving. You will need to dive the units a bit as well to see if there are any non loop mods you want to make such as extra D rings, hose routing etc. Rather than going for a higher flow rate, take time to get your vO2 sorted and you can try different mixes through the 50% jet, but you MUST have a pO2 monitor to do this. See http://www.rebreatherworld.com/semi-...-new-post.html for the theory and considerations when doing this. Feel free to ignore planks like this http://www.rebreatherworld.com/semi-...tml#post119673 wherever you end up travelling though.
