Drager DiveSorb

Guys,

I'm after a little advice.

I'm heading out to the South China Seas in April and am trying to decide what to do about Sorb.

I've discounted packing enough for the week in my case, as I figure I'll be overweight enough, so I had planned on shipping some out in advance. I've now been offer Drager DiveSorb at a pretty reasonable cost, but have never used it before.

I currently use Sperasorb or fine grade Sofnolime in my KISS - If i use the Drager DiveSorb is there anything I should be aware of such as reducing the over all scrubber duration?

I have never used fine-grade Sofnolime sorb in my CK, mostly Draeger Divesorb and some small amount of Spherasorb later on.

And you know the duration I did with my unit.

It has been awhile, but South China Sea temp will be similar to UAE when you guys were here last.

If you want to save the hassle of shipping, I have a buddy in Singapore who could probably help arranging for you locally, it might even be cheaper than shipping.

Jetsam recommends 4-8 mesh absorbants (like the coarse Sofnolime or Sodasorb).
The three hour duration of the scrubber is based on that.
Dräger Divesorb is 5-9 mesh, just a little bit finer, so duration should be the same.

I've used Drager DiveSorb in the Red Sea without any problems, used it deep & for over 3 hours (in Inspo) on shallower dives.
