I have noted that in some scrubberdesigns the flow is inwardbound and some other outwarthbound in radiusflow scrubbers. Anybody know what the advantages/disadvantages of the two designs?

Before we start this thread again, I would search archive for the debate of the new meg radial scrubber verses the prism scrubber. It think that covered most to the basic arguments that come up when this subject is mentioned.

Also read my PRISM article in the library, it includes the scrubber design.

Disadvantage (of the inside out design) is the low water flood tolerance from the exhale side of the loop. The relatively small center pipe fills fairly easily and sorb will get soaked. The opposite gas flow allows for water to move down the inside of the can and collect below if sufficient space is left for that.
