| So much more to learn ![]() Current Rebreather/s: | Quote: (Originally Posted by wizbang) Hi Ad_Ward9, that sounds great. I could gather some sheckles from the guys around oz to get you some samples of stuff relevant to us here. (hopefully transfer the money and you can purchase there so we don't money in freight etc.) Thats fine. For shipment, I will let you all know 2 weeks before for the tests, so nothing is sitting about. We are happy on either way, getting it here and you pay for it, or receiving it by mail. If we get enough people behind it, manufacturers might even DONATE (isnīt that a rude word) lime to see their results in the Open Revolution fully exposed form. Those that donīt think the results will be good for them, we can let you know who it is and the stuff would need to be sent/bought.My preference would be for the first option but the second option should also be ok. Quote: (Originally Posted by wizbang) IMHO it would make a big difference if we could peruse the testing procedure before to see what people think and see if it address' various people's issues / ideas of testing. We will certainly post the test procedures, before hand. This is what Open Revolution is all about. I have posted some stuff onto the Open Revolution area of this site. I believe Stuart is just waiting for the first volume of the FMECA to be posted before making it live. The test procedures are in our compliance documents, which are volumes 6 and 7 of the FMECA, so what I will do is to extract them and put them into a Powerpoint pdf file and post it up in plenty of time.Better to bitch and winge before and not get involved then to hvae people try and ridicule the results afterwards. "put up or shut up" type thing. Thanks for your efforts Wiz When this goes out, what we need to do is agree as users on what tests we want, we edit the Powerpoint describing the tests, then manufacturers publish the FULL results. We will have to keep the compliance ones in, for obvious reasons (it is why we are running the tests). Kicking off with a set of tests which we can debate on the Open Revolution area of this site, finalise them, we test a range of absorber products against the tests and publish the FULL results might just be the trigger to have manufacturers publish similar data so we can compare at a glance. Thanks for your good ideas on this. Cheers, Alex |

![]() | What are US folks paying for 8-12 Sofnolime? Is it better than the 6-12 Sodasorb? Best price I have found for 8-12 Sof is about $135. |

Where do you get Sofnolime for $135?I bought several pails of Sodasorb from Curt Bowen for $75 each....only downside is they expire in March 2006. If they were good for longer, I would have bought more. Mike |

I'm working with Lugo to buy this stuff in bulk and try to get it cheaper than that. I figure that maybe a bunch of us in the Central/SE FL area could go in and get it at cost. I'll make a seperate post to gauge interest.I bought several pails of Sodasorb from Curt Bowen for $75 each....only downside is they expire in March 2006. | Who loves ya, baby ![]() ![]() Current Rebreather/s: | Hard to find around here, most everyone uses Sodasorb. The price you got quated is high unless it includes shipping. Try Steam Machines, the ww distributor for Sodasorb. Or try Matt at MLF here in the LA area, he usually keeps plenty in stock. If it's for immediate use, Curt at Advanced Diver Mag (see links for ADM & SMI contact info) has some he's selling for $75/pail online.
