Golum Radial durations/depths

Hi All

I am interested to get some feedback from users diving the golem radial scrubber. I received mine last week and after admiring its excellent build quality it was time to put it to the test. I have been diving it the past week for a total of 7 hrs without any problem but only shallow (30-50m) and would be interested to here what durations and to what depths this scrubber has been used.

Thanks in advance for your comments

Re: Golum Radial durations/depths

Same as you Mathew, but up to 8 hours still feeling fine, working at shallow depth for final couple hours or so. Using Spherasorb.

The feature I like most is the improved WOB on the deeper diving (for me that's only 55-60m).

Re: Golum Radial durations/depths

I have about 50 hours on mine; generally run about 8 hours on Sofnolime 8-12 and find that the purple is about 60% of the way through (although its harder to judge on the radial...) Depths generally 130-165 ft, and I don't try to keep the last couple of hours shallower (I did at first, but now I feel that at 8 hours it still has lots of reserve.)

Hi Giles thanks for your feedback. I noticed the WOB was improved on the first dive I made its quite an improvment. I will be running it with the 4th cell on the neoprene lungs this week should be nice and warm on my longer dives.

Cheers

Re: Golum Radial durations/depths

Hi Matt,
i have had mine for about a year now and it has worked great. I run around 8 hrs with 797 grade lime on depths down to 40m ish. It has been to 150 a couple of times with a total in water time of 4 hrs and no issues. If i am diving deeper 40 - 70m i cut the time a bit. I did feel a bit uncomfortable at 70m with 5 hrs on the scrubber, so i cut the time down for those depths.
All this is in warm water.

Enjoy it.

Regards
Aaron.

Hi Aaron

Hope your well. Thanks for your feedback.

I paln to hit the caves here this week and maybe one around 130m so this should give me a better idea of how it works. I am planning a dive in the infomous Sra Keow for January to 200m ish.

Cheers

Hey Matt,

Good to hear it's working well........

Hopefully mine will be here in a week or so

You will have to let us know your thoughts on it after you have had a chance to get to know it better.
