| Oxygen MAV Stuck open After some time of OC diving, I was preparing and checking my rEvo III for the first CC dive of the year and noticed that the oxygen MAV was stuck. After pressing it in, it didn't pop out again. Anyone know what to do? Can this be sorted out by myself or is that something I'd have to drive to the rEvo factory for? (fortunately it's only a 15minute drive, but still...) |

| Re: Oxygen MAV Stuck open it's possible you have some corrosion in there. after salt water dives i soak my rEvo in fresh water and press the buttons while they are soaking to ensure the freshwater gets up and around the button this seems to keep them moving freely. When i first got my unit, i bought it used, the O2 MAV was sticky i cleaned it with vinegar and a toothbrush and that freed it up and now i religiously soak the unit after every dive. So far so good. |

| Re: Oxygen MAV Stuck open Must be some salty accumulation you had from the last dive which wasn't washed off thoroughly. I would suggest pressuring the O2 side and soaking the unit into some warm water and apply the recommended procedure learned in your training, giving the button several pushes to loosen up the accumulation and until the button works again. I find that using some dish detergent to shampoo the whole unit including the MAV after every diving trip works wonder in displacing any salty residues and in maintaining a squeaky cleanliness on the unit. I do that all the times. ![]() my 2 cents Davy
