| add button Hi, i am considering a revo, and i have some questions about the o2/dil add button. what was the intention for putting it where it is? and how can you reach it with multiple stages? how easily can you change it to a add button like the KISS one for instance? regards DeepB |

| Re: add button Would agree with Paul . I have had my rEvo II since June & I am surprised at how easilly I have reached the manual add buttons with stages on although I will admit I found the O2 easier than the Dil for some reason . |

Two hoses one KISS valve with the orifice blocked and about £160 rEvos own manual add is the old inspo button which is a bit clunky in operation. the KISS button worked well. I really like the JJ manual add button as well it makes for quick and easy off board gas connection. It should be worth a look. ATB Mark |

| Re: add button Hi, Hi DeepB,i am considering a revo, and i have some questions about the o2/dil add button. what was the intention for putting it where it is? The location of the clippard valves does keep the hose routing very streamlined! The supply lines to the clippard valves are 11" miflex hoses with disconnect (standard BC connection). This allows you to quickly and easily check the Intermediate pressure of the first stages if and when yo need to. It also allows for side mounting all of your onboard gas if you do not have access to standard size rebreather bottles. All you have to do is pack longer BC Inflator hoses, some sidemount rigging accessories if you dont have that already, cut the zip ties off of the High Pressure hoses so you can bring the first stages up to your sidemount bottles and your set ![]() and how can you reach it with multiple stages? 2 80's on each side, no problem. You can even get to the buttons while scootering.![]() how easily can you change it to a add button like the KISS one for instance? Like the other posters have stated, you can easily add a KISS style valve or one of Curt's 3 gas MAV blocks ![]() Hope you find this info helpful. Cheers |

For this, I use Pauls optional O2 add button and mount it on my right chest strap above the D ring. The button is fixed and easy to quickly locate and press with my left hand while keeping my right hand on the scooter. Other options that hang down over shoulder can get hung up under stages etc and take a bit longer to locate. This was the case with the O2 add button on my Kiss. This option also allows you to connect external dil if necessary. |

Pro: - neat!! -free chest Thats the reason I went for an old model ( was not such a shame do dismantel it ) and put and hydrogom valve feeded by a 16 bar reg, work fine. If / when Ill come to rEvo III CE will have a look at the Tecme add button Part T0305 http://www.tecme.de/bilder/T0305.jpg Regards Marc |

Marc Cons are: -impossible to stop immediatly the O2 flow -difficult to reach when scootering ( for me ) Marc Genuine question , surely the quickest & easiest way "to stop immediatly the O2 flow " is to turn of the tank valve on any rebreather ? From what I have learnt about scootering ( don't own one yet ) surely it depends on which hand you use for scootering ? If you scooter with your left you have your right hand free for the O2 or am I missing something ? |

But no, absolutely no...If you turn off the tank it will of course continue to flow till the first stage chamber is quite empty so at least on minute which is way too long when you are "spiking", the stop flow must of course be downstream regarding the hydrogom or kiss valve or wathever orifice to act instantly. About scootering effectively the right hand is most of the time for scootering and the left is "in front of you" ready for ear eaqualisation dry suit inflation wing inflation reading computer and/or compass and I personnaly HATE to have it searching something between my back and my ass at the additional risk of being trangled there few seconds. Also I found confortable on long scootering to change the scootering hand to relax the other one and in that case I like to be able to drive the rebreather with the other hand even if in fact I dont ( change my hand again ).
