Anyone cave dive with a Revo?

I am starting to like the Revo. Especially since it can be an eCCR with the Shearwater persuit!

Can any Revo divers tell me how it performs in the cave environment?

im not a cave guy, but the french gu'y suse them in the doly de coly <?/> in france a lot. i believe it holds some depth records there for mccr/cave.

alos it trims awesome, and with the new exhaust valve should have some flood recovery.

paul is on vacation i think, the month long european one, but he is the guy to ask.

Hi Marv,

Well, Doux de Coly is the "private" cave of the DIR guys so no rEvo there!

I have several friends that use their rEvo in caves (Ressel, Landenouze, Cuzoul bleu, Font d'Estramar). No real big problems except when there is a lot of mud: the gas injection buttons on the back of the rig might get stuck.

Here is a photo of Dominique Victorin, he has a rEvo2 béta: Home Page

according to this http://www.plongeesout.com/siphonome...us_profond.pdf (and if I am not mistaken) the deepest mccr/cave should be -205, Casati, Vrelo Une (line 14)

I do cave diving with my rEvo.
The handle and the top of the cylinders protect quite well the top (with all the p-ports) of the rEvo.

I you pass with a twin 12 ltr, you pass with a rEvo

The problem starts if you need to go fot a long way in a dry cave before reaching the sump ... but many rebreathers have this problem.

Regards
Bruno

Bruno, we don't sump dive here in Florida : we dive in a cave !
cheers
(there are sumps in other parts of the country).
Most people dive Megs, then Optimas and Kisses in caves.
