screws in revodreams

what size are the screws in the revodreams?

not the ones that hold the lid down but the ones that hold the gauge together?

i mean hold the plates that hold the gauge together.

im asking because yes im mod'ing them. im trying to make a plate tht holds both dreams and gauges together like a big gauge console on an oc rig.

i have it set so both dreams and the o2 gauge is on one side and the other dil gauge is on the back- or maybe not im still working on it.

oh while im asking does anyone use the dreams without the rubber bumpers?

im thinking about moving them too.

thanks

Re: screws in revodreams

Im not sure what size they are but Ill tell you how me and Paul have our dreams set up now . I stole this idea from Paul Kim BTW. So on mine first off I use only 1 dream. On the dream display I flipped the cable sidways and wear it on my wrist with the original metal place still attatched, Instead of an SPG in the hole its a uwatec bottom timer ( paul uses suunto vyper). Paul also supplied me with a velcro strap that just bolted right into the bottom of the rEvo dream, no mod required. Both SPG are re routed, zip tied together and clipped off on my left side waist d ring like a hogarth OC rig. Nothing dangling and less clutter. You could mimic this with 2 reVo dreams by mounting 1 revo dream on each wrist. You dont have to drill any holes or anything to do this so if you decide you dont like you can always go back to the OG way.

Re: screws in revodreams

hmmmm, interesting. i am planning on getting the pursuit soon and that means one wrist for that<left>, one for vr3 and vyper in gauge mode<right>, so i dunno.

i guess i need more arms, i have to check the swagelock catalog again......

my thinking is with the double hud and the pursuit i wont even really need to look at the dreams but maybe every once and a-oh shit whats going on.

you know triple verification type scenarios or when i screw something up.

at innerspace i was trying to tie the whole mess together with snorkle keepers and cross clip it like an oc console, that was a mess but the placement was spot on,id like to be able to rig it that way if i needed/wanted too.

but thanks for the thought.

Hi Marv,

One thing I can tell you, this is a metric screw. M4 or M5, I will check later after diving (rig is in the car ready to go).

Re: screws in revodreams

thanks paul.

im going to keep the gauges and dreams together btw, im trying not to have the cable problem paul k < Sd Paul?> ran into. i saw your note about not stressing them.

i have to ask a stupid question:

how important are the rubber bumpers? you know the rubber boot that goes over the end of the dream?

i have one of the bumper/boots removed. am i playing with fire?

thanks and btw im off to the bank.

best
