| rEvo rebreathers announce a second WOB kit. (kit 2) After intensive testing and redesigning, rEvo rebreathers now has a second kit that dramatically reduces the WOB, but still keeping the original flexible hoses and the standard mouthpiece from the rEvo. The kit consists of a new barrel that replaces the original barrel inside the Ray mouthpiece. This barrel not only reduces the WOB, but also guarantees an extremely smooth opening and closing, as it is completely O-ring sealed. on the picture: on the left side the original Dräger Ray mouthpiece, on the right the mouthpiece with the improved barrel. With the new WOB kits 1 and 2, following results are obtained: rEvo II loaded with fine grade sofnolime, tested according to CE specs, in vertical position (worst case!): __________standard axial scrubber (2.8 kg) ____extended radial scrubber (4.1 kg) kit 1 ______________2.89 J/l ______________________2.73 J/l kit 1+2 ____________2.64 J/l ______________________2.32 J/l Preliminary testing at ANSTI also showed that it will be possible to transform a standard rEvo II until it has a WOB less than 2J/l, but this involves changing both the mouthpiece and the breathing hoses. The new barrel (kit 2) will be available for sale September 2008, at a price of 50 euro + taxes + transport. Paul Raymaekers

How? Which hoses? I'm on a GG BOV at the moment. but I'd be very interested in your views re: hoses. |

| Re: rEvo rebreathers announce a second WOB kit. (kit 2) . I tried a new DSV with the new barrel last sunday, and it is very smooth and I think/felt the WOB was reducedThis barrel not only reduces the WOB, but also guarantees an extremely smooth opening and closing, as it is completely O-ring sealed. | Re: rEvo rebreathers announce a second WOB kit. (kit 2) Please explain how it felt different. Easier to breath, but again I also used the original rEvo mouthpiece wich is "thicker" than the other I have used so far.

| Re: rEvo rebreathers announce a second WOB kit. (kit 2) Is this now standard on all new rEvos? no, it is still optional, but if you mark it on the order status, we mount it at the factory(I think all last 10 units that went out had it build in) will become standard part in the rEvo II 2009 (is the 2008 version with some options like the WOB kits, the new OPV, and some other small things) paul

| Re: rEvo rebreathers announce a second WOB kit. (kit 2) Do you know if it fits the Dräger FGT DSV? From the pics, the ray and the FGT dsv'n look the same on the internal parts. Definately interested in one if it fits. Feels like my DSV needs an upgrade. |
