I know their are a few others out their who do not like the fastex buckles on the harness. This is what i have done with mine to solve that issue and to make a good mounting point for the off-board gas block.

items used.

1) 36" 1.5" weight belt webbing
2) 2 Delrin 1.5" double sliders
3) 1 - 1.5" Delrin cam-lock buckle
4) 2 - 2" x 3/16" stainless rings

Steps

1) remove old rings and webbing.
2) attach new ring and webbing right side of rig.
3) thread webbing though waist plate and sliders.
4) position off-board gas block where you want it, and note it.
5) undo slider, take white plate as a template to mark where the holes go.
6) burn holes in the webbing to permanently mount block.
7) mount up the block, reattach the slider, and check the fit.
8) rig up left side ring and webbing.
9) using slider attach cam-lock on lower plate hook up webbing, (with weight belt webbing you may need to file a little off the cam-lock).
10) check fit.

Paul do you have a block with a black button? I would like to put it on the left side for off-board dill.
