I think that the rEvo is perfectly balanced (without headweight) I do use 1kg on the side of te rEvo to compensate for the weight of heavy metalsub battery, but dont feel the need tot put weight on top of rEvo....
We americans like to eat fast food ... and some of us were raised very near to nuclear power stations (like ME!!)

If you were 6'6'' / 199cm tall, weighed close to 300lb / 135kg, and had to modify your standard rEvo case with spacers to accomodate your lung volume (hey paul, am I still the only person that's had to do this?) Wearing a drysuit and undergarment for 50 degree f / 10 c water. ... you'd understand

Hi all, I also feel 10lbs is enormous, for me 2 kg works perfect. (even 3 kg gives me a bit to much head down)
but then I use very heavy steel 3l tanks..

offcourse it also depends where you connect other things like (in case of) steel stages (some kind of counterbalance in that case)..

with 2 stages I have a total of 7 kg weight (using a CF200 and and extreme weezel +) 2 on top, 3 in middle, 2 on foot (one kg each)

2kg works fine for me as well with the steel 3L tanks. Nice pouch though Phil!

10 lbs up top works great for us fat shits down here in san diego, then again I may be a little heavy but I have to bail out that weight will need to account for empty BO cylinders

Cheers,
That is very slick Phil, nice job.

I agree with Tyler, if you have to bail out and you're carrying three aluminum cylinders you are going to be light. I suppose you could drop the used cylinders but they will become more buoyant as you breath them down.

But I also agree that the fat content in our bodies is higher than Paul R. and company. And if the rest of you have a physique like him, then its no wonder you don't need much weight!

Perhaps I'll go on a diet so I don't need any weights

BTW, I use these weight pockets, they fit perfectly on the bracket and is a great place to store the HUDs when you're not diving.

It is secured by two bungees.
I had a buddy almost hurt himself with a bungeed weight on his unit when it came off during a dive. We are making something that is semi-permanent and won't fall off.

Joe, you don't quite carry the flotation that some of us do. Stop bragging.
