Stupid HUD question (propably)

Hi!
I´m a new rEvo diver and (except for some exessive banging of handsets and the Transpac harness) I´m a very happy camper...

What I would like, is to be able to get my "secondary" HUD to stop trying to check the (nonexistant) 4th sell and therefore "blinking red" every time it fails to get a response...

Is there anyway to do this? Please don´t tell me to RTFM...

who was your instructor???

these things are practiced during training!
you don't tell me that you've been diving all the time with one orange blinking LED all the time???

Hi,

Sorry it is a RTFM question

Download the rEvodream manual first. Within the setup menu you will need to activate the 1P value - This will set the rEvodream to 1 cell.

no need to download anything: it is in the rEvo manual that goes with the course!

hmmmm, I was taught it on MOD 1 - even though my unit came with 4 cells. I was also shown how to change "setpoint" to the lower value as well.

Get thee back to your instructor chap.

sorry but i have to agree! either you forgot how to do this or the instructor messed up. to answer the question go to the set up menu (ie 5 taps after the alternating flashes after start up you will then get two flashes, now tap two times confirming you want to be in the set up mode) and after you get one green flash in the set up mode tap the dream, then do not tap anything as it goes through the last 5 options. at the end it will show you one red flash confirming that you have changed it to one cell, then the rEvo dream will now only read one cell on that dream. here is the schematic:

Had a bit of drum-practice last night and changed it...

I don´t see what the big deal is? During dives I had an orange blip between readings of the 3rd cell...talked to two of my course-mates yesterday and at least one will keep the orange blip...I´ll try it this way for a few dives and see how I like it...one thing about having it check both is that you can see, both on the hud and the handset, that the 2ndry display is "active"...

and it may be that I missed or forgot about this in the course...It´s not like it was calibration or something important...

I'm afraid that my instructor also skipped the "advanced rEvodream tapping" part. The rented rEvo (owned by instructor) even had 3 cells with 4 cell setup. I guess that he didn't understood it too

With the rEvodream flowchart in hand, I found it really easy to program the rEvodream in 1 cell setup.
