Done years ago I made a similar blower though, for loop drying (fits almost any rig). The inhale hose from the rig is removed from the rig and is plugged into the blower. The blower then pushes low volume air thru the loop hoses and the entire rig, exiting where the inhale hose was removed. Keeps the entire rig nice and dry. I only use it when preparing a rig for storage, and let it run a day or so depending on humidity. If you made one up with a P-Connector on the blower, it would be a nice accessory. ![]() | Re: Stupid rEvo tricks Hey Steve, Now that you've had the fan setup for a while, how's it working out? Anything you would change or any problems? Tony |

The flow through the hoses is very gentle, it can only be just lifting the mushroom valves off their seats. One thing I have added is a timer, a simple household light timer with a dial and pins. I had a spare 12 volt power supply laying around and I plug that into the timer with an "off" pin set for about 6 hours later. That way I can walk away and forget about unplugging the fan.

![]() | Re: Stupid rEvo tricks Sounds good, I'm gonna make one up for myself. Was thinking it could be used to dry the CL's also, put the empty cassettes in with the cover on and no breathing hose. Plug the fan into the exhale side breathing hose connector and it'll go thru to the exhale connector. Have you done this yet? |

There is a significant "back pressure" generated by the elbows, hose and the mushroom valves. I'll try it today and let you know. As mentioned above, another alternative would be to put a p-port adapter on a fan and run the fan without the hoses attached. You could use a higher volume fan in that case. I find that leaving the cover off and wiping out the excess water that collects in the bottom of both lungs dries the lungs effectively in a days time.

Running the air from this fan though the hose and then into the counterlungs is not effective in my opinion. When I hooked it up I could barely feel any flow with my fingers at the inhale p-port on the rEvo. I wouldn't want to increase the volume of the air flow through the breathing hoses for fear of distorting the mushroom valves. I think connecting a fan to the rEvo without the hoses attached would work. This fan produces a noticeable flow when held over one of the p-ports. A bigger fan would be better at drying the lungs though.

![]() | Re: Stupid rEvo tricks Yeah Steve I was thinking about doing it without the hose attached. So to say do the hose first by itself, then do the CL by themselves without the hose attached. Think the flow would be o.k.? |

It is not a blast of air but a respectable flow that will move a significant volume of air through the lungs with time. You will have to get an elbow or a flexible hose to do the lungs as the handle makes access to the female p-ports difficult.
