![]() | I am hopefully doing my rEvo mod 1 with Dave Cooper and Zero Gravity Diving at the end of May. I am trying to workout the best way to get there and back to the UK with my new rEvo. How have others done it? Did you drive or fly? If you flew which airline did you use and how did it go. Did you have to pay massive excess baggage? I am planing to get a SS mini rEvo with the 3L tanks (can't afford titanium ) (Paul - You managed to convince me at LIDS to go for the mini)Thanks Sam |

It took about six hours from Calais, but driving abroad is a pleasure compared to the UK which is a chore (well Southern UK is, it gets pleasureable again North of Manchester). Janos

The rEvo isn't so heavy. If you choose British Airways you can have 20kg or sporting baggage for free. The rest, normal buggage.I am trying to workout the best way to get there and back to the UK with my new rEvo. How have others done it? Did you drive or fly? Cheers Nad

Sam, When Janos says six hours that's six hours to my house, Geneva is a bit longer say 9 hours or so. Cheers, Dave.

I think important is to have the valve removed. Anyway, sporting buggage between 21 and 32 it cost something like 20£? (If I remember correctly). Cheers

He's just been over to do his rEvo training with Dave Cooper and I think he flew over from Manchester. I'm sure he'll be willing to give you any advice. He's good like that ![]() Dive safe and enjoy the course, Gary

![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Travelling from Switzerland with my new rEvo hi sam, I have to look for a plane Genève/Bruxelles. Genève airport website says : "diving tanks OK if empty". EasyJet website say "diving tank forbiden". I phone to EasyJet, not "easy" to have a human, but when I found one she said me "diving tanks forbiden". Even enmpty? "Diving tanks forbiden!" I don't know where you live in the uk but I'd like to inform you that easyjet has many daily flights with cheap fares between bristol and geneva. So if you want to take EasyJet, be sure you can... There is an other airport closer my house, Lyon airport (Satolas). I've try Air France. Air France website says : "diving tanks forbidden". I phone to Air France (there is a little more human than in EasyJet). A women said me : there is a possibility for "diving equipment". That need to declare it, tanks are permited if emptry and regulators not fited. Max weight of the equipement is 20 kg (not included the ordinary free 20 kg, so total permited is 40 kg), price is 20 (twenty) euro one way (Lyon Bruxelles). I think I'll take this solution.
