B-36 Bomber Crash

Current can be very, very strong (undiveable) or little at all. Vis is about 30 ft on the bottom. Remember the Yukon? Its about 3 kilometers away from that. There are some shipwrecks as well.

October is typically 70-80's. Same old San Diego weather, clear skies and NO chance of rain. Water temp hits it's high in August which could be 68-69 at the surface. So October would be a few degrees colder but always merits a drysuit.
The drive to Vegas is about 5 hours depending on traffic and you lead foot.
