Now to the complaint. When its cold outside I've had issues with the dreams not turning on. They will accept the startup 3 taps. But will not turn on after the 2 taps are completed when called for. And on the occasions were there were startup problems getting the dreams to go through cal and setup was a PAIN!! That said .. this has only happened 4 times. But, its been the last 4 times I dove the breather. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: rEvo Dreams had a problem on the green led of the HUD on two diférent rEVO. BUT To be honest I must say that in both cases the cable has been bent ( not stretch ) because the display was free ( not mounted on a hose for example ). Anyhow loosing the green led has been EXTREMELY DANGEROUS because it was in a stressfull situatiion in a cave ( Murphy ) and when it occured I have been unable to reach the display...I let you imagine the following mistakes The second problem occured because having intermittent failure on the rEVO of my sidemount, I could fix the problem BUT on a next dive when the green led disappeared I had a look to my display and ppo2 was OK so from that moment I exclude the HUD information out of my mind...... GREAT MISTAKE In fact I was diving with two rebreathers ( one backmounted one sidemounted which is now my standard config in cave diving ) and I read the wrong display. I finaly understood my mistake on ascent at 20 meters when reading on the display an IMPOSSIBLE 1.45 so suddenly trusted again in the orange pulse train of my HUD reached with feverishness the good display and then read a frightening 0.4 ...had to change the seetings of my VR3 for deco obligationsThe one who is using double CCR in the real life and neither done such a stupid mistake can throw the first stone... Lesson one: you can trust in your HUD but you must be able to instantly control your display at any moment of the dive. Lesson two: never under estimate you ability to do something very stupid Lesson three: dont trust too much in evident things and always ask yourself what you are really doing or looking at....evident evil ![]() Perhaps possible to split this thread in the incident/accident forum |

Sometimes (nearly always) when I should make the 2 taps for confirmation, I do 3 taps, and it nearly always take at least 2, it works, just try it ;-)Raph |

After that, a shorter pause seems to work ok.remember: never try to tap to fast after a 'demand for confirmation' regards paul |
