Re: Undressing The rEvo

Hey Marv,

PM me your mailing address and I'll send you some wingnuts and nylocks for your rEvo. My local ACE stocks all these stuff, which is pretty amazing I think!

Re: Undressing The rEvo

Marv,

I got some knurled finger nuts as well, but they have a higher profile then the nylocks I have. Can you measure what you have for me? If they work then I'm probably gonna get me some of those.

Thanks,
Paul

Re: Undressing The rEvo

allrighty mcmaster numbers

ss wingnuts

94543A440 METRIC TYPE 316 STAINLESS STEEL WING NUT, M8 SCREW SIZE X 1.25 MM PITCH, 30.3 MM WING SPREAD

ss nyloc aircraft nuts

94205A260 METRIC 316 SS NYLON-INSERT LOCKNUT, M8 SCREW, 1.25MM PITCH, 13MM WIDTH, 8MM HEIGHT

ss thumbscrew

96445A380 METRIC 18-8 SS ROUND KNURLED THUMB NUT, M8 SCREW, 12MM O'ALL H, 19MM HEAD DIA,1.25MM PITCH

The thumb nut works on the top top screw, but the bottom top screw doesnt have enuff grab, or another way to say its too short, ya know what im sayin'? so i have to keep looking.

mcmaster site is cool, easy to fish around and they ship fast.enjoy !

Any reason not to just tap the existing holes for the next bolt size up (or 2 bolt sizes up)? Then just screw in the bolt from the back side or use a pan head so it's less instrusive on the inside. The plate would also have to be drilled for larger size bolt, etc.

The welding solution looks nice though and more professional.

the backplate is very thin i dont think you could thread it.there really isnt much room inside the case and the lungs are right against everything. paul lined the case with electricial tape to protect them from the screw heads.

btw nice avatar i love pink floyd
