i would like to keep the Rebreather as close to stock as possible, or at least make it possible to keep mods reversible. i am still not sure i want to keep my standard ss one, i have been debating getting a mini titanium for travel. no point to jet blue-ing it to florida if i have to buy a seat for my Rebreather and video camera.

in a perfect world i could afford both and a gulfstream to get where ever its wet.

Curt - looks great and makes it a lot easier, doesn't it?

Tobin - I'm curious to see what your solution is. I'll see about coming up next weekend.

It is certainly the way to go, it gives you many more options for packing.

Re: Undressing The rEvo

Last time I flew with my rEvo, I took the tanks off, and zip tied all the hoses and the regs and carried it on. Good conversation starter also.

Re: Undressing The rEvo

Never thought about carrying on the rEvo - I might have to try it next time

As far as the metric bolts, I purchased them at my local ACE hardware. They have a surprisingly large collection of metric parts. The other thing you can do is change to 5/16" bolts if you wanted to - I considered this but decided to stay with metric to keep things standard on the rEvo. I just bought enough spare parts to make sure it won't be a problem if I were to lose a wingnut.

Tobin - I have to apologize to you man, I never did (obviously) make it up to Pasadena. I still want to get up there to check out your idea but just got real busy over the last few month. I'll give you a call later next week and arrange a good meeting time.

No worries, I usually have enough to do to keep me out of the local bars.

When ever you are up this way, let me know.

Re: Undressing The rEvo

I had my new rEvo for just a few hours when welding these bolts became the first modification. Of course, it helped that I was staying with the guy that did Pauls. It was definately the right thing to do, makes clean up easier and travel will be easier as well. Thanks for the great idea Paul.
