BOV: we are in study for a rEvo BOV, but not sure yet: there are aftermarkets at the moment that people use on their rEvo

Re: horizontal trim....

Hello,

Trim is quite horizontal. It wouldn't pass the DIR/GUE standards but it's OK for a rebreather.

You can add a BOV very easily, the Golem Gear one (threaded version) works very well.

In general I would say that the diver is responsible of the trim not the unit. A different thing is that some rbs might be easier than others to accomplish this...

Re: horizontal trim....

I jumped in and instantly felt it was the easiest CCR i have ever dived in terms of trim. I struggle more with my KISS that I have dived for 9 months.

Was I bang horizontal? No, but thats not the point after 20 seconds (trying to find the wing inflate) I was close and with nominal effort so I am sure a better man than me would nail it in no time.

Bang on!

There are divers who never could trim out horizontally, and there are divers who could on any unit with various amount of effort.

Yeah, but lets face it a unit like the inspo is a bas#ard to trim. I got there in the end but it took multiple dives and farting about with positioning lead.

Once sorted it was great but I had to put 2.5Kg on top of the box to get there

I hear the Boris is worse.

Re: horizontal trim....

I know quite many YBOD divers here and all seem to dive in a near horizontal position. One thing affecting that might be that most of them are also cave divers. For cave diving good trim is a must.

But it different on different units, but with weight placement etc. should not be a problem on any unit. And the diver has to have the skill also

Trim on a rEvo is exceptionally good.

Re: horizontal trim....

Thanks for the replays....good trim is importan to me so the revo gets more points in my list.

As far as the BOV, will an aftermarket BOV fit well....has any diver done it on a revo before?

Steve
