Hi Paul- Thanks for the new information, you have a great system that I like very much. Looking forward to our class coming up.

Question: Why would you limit the depth to 100M in the ECCR mode??

because at the moment we know for sure the unit works ok at that dept!
probably it works ok deeper also (it has been dived much deeper in warm water), but we do not garantee it at this time

if the unit has its 4° p-port opening (ready for later upgrade), it can be installed together with the instructor/enduser

if not, it is more difficult, but some instructors will perhaps be able to do it ( cutting away the liner, cutting the extra hole in the counterlung, fitting the extra port and checking if the unit is still vacuumtight)

In the USA, The Little Diveshop of Horrors (LDSOH) will install the 4th P-Connector for you if you like. Yes, you "can" screw up the P-Connector installation, so if you have doubts... box it up. I'm also going to stock reasonable selection of spare parts so as to have a USA source for little bits needed 'now'. Simple things like scrubber scrims, scrubber cover nuts, etc. I'll also stock ADV poppets, O-Rings, and maybe a spare rEvodream "just in case". Inventory will be here by Spring 2008. I'll also do complete eCCR upgrades from a hardware install standpoint as well for anyone not wanting to do it themselves. From looking at Paul's one it's within the ability of a 'good' hands-on diver, but if you want to be sure.... send it here. Plus, we have a few tricks up our sleeve as well... like offboard 02 addition setups that will work *with* the new eCCR module installed in the 4th P-Connector, and machined HUD attachment clips for 'other' DSV's (such as the KISS BOV that works well on the Ray hoses).

Paul,

Do you have some pictures on the way you fit in the solenoid?

A rEvo with a PO2 parachute is a very tempting idea!!!

Hi, I use a homemade rebreather with the same system. mCCR (O2 flow) + eCCR with Shearwater Controller. Works really fine. I did not understand the explanation for eCCR with orifice bleeding on Your homepage:
"This mode can be used up to max 80 meters, because the absolute pressure of the oxygen first stage is kept constant, even by increased depth."
But I think that in this mode the breather will still work fine, only hat it will work automatically in pure eCCR mode as the flow at that deep will stop (depending on orifice and pressure of the sealed first stage). Is that correct?
Friendly Oswald
