O2 cells getting wet?

Maybe a newbe question, but there accumulates quite a bit of water /condense in the cell holder bowl.

I was told that 02 cell + water =

Also the cell readings start do differ a bit at the end of the dive, maybe because of moister?

Is this a problem?

Maybe putting a moisture pad in de cell bowl is a good idea

If your bowl does not have the holes that does make it better. The water seems to stay away from my cells and I wonder if a pad would in some way obstruct the flow?

Re: O2 cells getting wet?

My bowl has only holes on the sides. No hole in the bottom. quite a lot of moister ends up there

just keep it as it is: you will see that there is condensation on the plastic 'bowl' , but never on the membranes of the cells: that is the way the 'bowl' was designed to work and that's the way it works :-)

condensation only occurs where the gas cooles down, (in the inhale lung) so on the bowl in contact with the colder gas in the inhale
the gas that comes out of the second scrubber is warm, flows over the cells, then out of the bowl

regards
paul
