Re: ired of your scratched rEvo cover?

I'll try to be a good freind to tyler, and vouch for the fact that the OC gear, is infact his girlfirends.

Yet, I'll also be the bad friend that I am ... and also say that I strongly advised him against dating anybody that dives (even though his girlfriend is a pretty spiffy diver/person/sugar momma )

Girlfriends house? YOU LIVE THERE TOO! I want to see you show up with some leopard print webbing next time we dive.

I thought the leopard print was his jon-line. But wait a second I'm sure that is his harness. C02 head-aches; there not just for breakfast anymore!

Re: Tired of your scratched rEvo cover?

After diving my rEvo for the past 9 months, my cover has gotten a beatin' and is dinged and danged from hitting things during wreck penetrations.

Promising myself that I would have better self-awareness while doing wreck penetrations, I tried (really hard) to not let my cover get the beatin'

... but alas ..... I failed.

I have been mightily impressed with Tyler's Line-X'ed cover - it has held up INCREDIBLY well while mine continued to get dinged.

So .... I followed suite and got my rEvo cover Line-X'ed.

Here are the results:

That looks good. How did you do the graphics on the Line-X?

Re: ired of your scratched rEvo cover?

Its magic ....

The lettering is premium vinyl which conforms much better to the Line-X than lower grade vinyl, and it also doesn't shrink, which often causes the lettering to peel.

Its only been on one dive so far but its held up.

Re: ired of your scratched rEvo cover?

Really nice look

A couple questions regarding overhead environment diving with the rEvo:
What's the risk of breaking the lid (i don't know what material it is made of)?

The first stages and hoses, have you ever felt they being at a risk of becoming damaged (debris cutting into etc)?

Re: ired of your scratched rEvo cover?

Its not a question of breaking the lid that led to the Line-X mod ... it was the dings that the top material is subjected to. What can I say, I like my rEvo to look pretty

The yellow part of the lid serves as an insulator and is of relatively soft material - it holds up to normal use very well and has held up to mine has held up to many wreck dives, but does get some scarring ... chicks dig scars, right?

No problems with the first stages or anything down there getting caught.
