Has Anyone put a Sidemount on a rEvo?

Had an Armadillo on my Inspo and loved it so now I'm looking for ideas on if and how others have put them on their rEvos. If you've got pictures of how you mounted it, even better.

Any chance you could elaborate on how you fell it goes with the kit?
Does the tanks ever block for access to the dil/02 bypass-pushbuttons?

Also more pictures if you please.

I'll dive the rEvo the standard way regarding stages, though I mounted Golem Oversized Fixed drings for my 2nd. training dive last week, and was really glad I did. But as you have written newbies like me, are worrying about how cumbersome stages are, even when they swim fine on the rig.

My primary objection, is that I like to crawl wreck-debris looking for fish, wich means a normal stage IS in the way - sidemount would definetly help.

Please elaborate on you setup, wich looks like standard armardillo?

I like the Armadillo so much I have one on all 4 of my CCRs

I also have a full sidemount Armadillo for OC

.

The CCR Armadillo does not restrict access to the manual adds in anyway and keeps the cylinders tight into the armpit and very streamlined.

What more pictures do you want, those 2 show it all?

do you use this for mounting off board dil/o2 or just bailout?

Well since you wrote that the setup does not block access at all, I dont really need any pictures. But would still like to see how streamlined the rEvo becomes with the sidemount in the water...

Just bailout on the armadillo & bungees but offboard O2 and Dil bottom clipped to the armadillo and top clipped to high-chest D-Rings.

Dave,

Very interesiting! I was looking at mounting it to the back stainless cover, not to the split backplate. Does mounting it to the bottom split backplate cause any issues with the way the armadillo or the stages sit? Is yours on a regular rEvo or mini?
