Drysuit valves can be had with the CEJN installed, Viking, Unisuit, etc., all have them as standard. Sitex makes the valves. You can buy just the stub to retrofit other Sitex valves. The just thread in and out.

The breathing air inflators (except Scubapro) all use this fitting already.

The Ocean Reef FFM quick connect hose and fitting for second stage uses this as well.

Repeating my other post a bit but if you added that Scubapro stub and a standard inflator stub to the blank side of the block you'd have "a belt' suspenders and duct tape" solution to gas scrounging from all possible sources.

Re: Nice Pair!

Two ineressants parts are Quick connectors converters #28100 and 28005 in the Sitech catalog, will look to hold an intl to CEJN

cheers

You have a good eye! They are nice parts. They had these at the BTS show in New York and nobody but me seemed to see them... I had big eyes for them imagining the possibilities.

Need to have them with a short length of cord and a snap so they are not lost, stuffed into the accessory bag. Might be useful.

Yup, or it would be easy to simply carry adapters. Best to simply convince your buddy to standardize on CEJN too.... or to standardize the rebreather world!

Re: Nice Pair!

I think of these connectors bcse if they are compatible with Swagelok QC6 my dive mate will appreciate a gas share scenario with these tiny things and his Boris, I'd prefer to add a piece of hose to make gas sharing more confortable, the idea to bring them in drysuit pocket is a corner of my head now and improve my dive kit soon

Lots of flexibility.

.
Sorry Mrs. Sutton but i don't undestand why do you have your onboard diluyent in the block
The rest of the system looks perfect and clear... but...

Thanks

Re: Nice Pair!

I can't answer for Dave, but I have seen the rig/system and here is how I understand it.

The onboard diluent (input) and offboard diluent (input) are selected by switching the valve on the block. The output of the block then feeds both the BOV and the rig's diluent system. Essentially, the block allows the diver to select either onboard or offboard gas and feed it to both the diluent system and the BOV with the same gas simultaneously. Thus, if you bail at depth, the BOV is already supplied with the most appropriate gas for that depth.

Dave, I hope that's about right (considering that I'll be diving a similar set up soon ).

Just to kibbitz the valve on the block doesn't switch but instead isolates the onboard diluent from the rig and the valve on the offboard bottle isolates that from the rig. So you can feed from either or both sources.
