![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: rEvo II Sales/Resales conditions Blimey. Apologies to all involved in the rEvo. have just caught up with the Submatix fiasco. CE marking it to the machinery directive? You're having a laugh, aren't you? That's ridiculous. My mum can certify stuff to the machinery directive. It's not a machine, it's a piece of life support kit. |

| Holger Berghäuser ![]() Current Rebreather/s: | Re: rEvo II Sales/Resales conditions hmm, I now reading near every post about CE and Rebreather. I also live in the CE area and yes I build also some rebreathers for me and others (if they like them). I know also all the rebreather are build outside the EU and they don't have also any CE testing and working well. What is soooo magic with the CE/EN marking ? Does the diver has a save feeling with it ? Does the diver never dies with a CE/EN marking on his rig ? I am not shure I know also that the law wants the certification but for what ? Is a CE/EN mark safer. I think, when the system works (is thight and the diver is trained and know what he/she has todo) then every system is save like expected. So therefore in my opinion what is a CE/EN marking better then no except for selling it in the EU By the way we had here 1.Stage regulators from a well know manufactor who had CE/EN marking and "blown" away underwater and yes I will build some more rigs, but only for me and very good friends or for "outside" the EU ![]() just my 2 cent Holger

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: rEvo II Sales/Resales conditions It doesn't affect homebuilds or stuff supplied from outside the EU. But if you flog a rebreather in the EU then it has to conform to the EU directives on PPE, especially if you are "at work" (take a note KISS and rEvo instructors there). Just like if you sell teddy bears in the EU they have to be tested to make sure they are safe and aren't stuffed with nails and broken glass. |

I am not shure these parts have ever seen a certification the user manual is unreadable and it works just a few times and then not longer ![]() they copies the CE sign better than the EU can print them just a joke Holger

We know don't worry, that is why you will see me wearing my Ouroboros when I teach Meg, KISS or rEvo, unless I am in Switzerland where I wear the same model unit as the student.Cheers, Dave Cooper.

Cheers, Dave Cooper. And that's a shame that you have to bypass rules in that way. From a instructional standpoint, it's better when the instructor is clearly able to deomnstrate skills, trim and overall handling in the unit the students are training for. This CE Bullsh!t is a step backwards. |
