| Re: My rEVO Arrived! Dave, where is the Explorer berthed, Rhode Island, right? Is it totally CCR or can my OC wife join us? What kind of lodging is near the boat, it is a long day trip to RI? Hans Howdy, EXPLORER is in Narragansett RI, a beautiful place for both boat and beach diving. Lots of great Rebreather and OC stuff right off the beach, rocky coast, deep water close to shore (190 feet 100 yards offshore in some places). Great wrecks. OC wife would be welcome aboard anytime. Good local motels, and it would be a shame to hurry back. I'd do a mixed boat/beach diving trip. Good local shop (Narragansett Pier Dive) where I hang out with HP 02, trimix, and 'sorb. Drive time for you is 3 1/2 hours. One of the nicest places in the USA! Tropical fish collecting in the summer, great wrecks from 30 to 300 feet, Block Island trips, great freediving for spearfishing (world record striped bass), a divers paradise in every respect. I'll have the rEvo aboard all summer for trial dives, so come and visit. Dave (living aboard EXPLORER starting next week thru November!)

| Re: My rEVO Arrived! Not that it is *anyones* business but myself and Paul, but since I am polite: I was taught by the same guy who taught me to dive the other 20+ types of rebreathers I have dived... About the teaching. Paul has already answered the question. And who taught Paul to dive it? . Someone needs to be first! Installing the balance of the harness now. and doing another test "under the pool cover" tonight. Backplate fits *great*, and I've just come to appreciate the fact that the manual add buttons are on the bottom, meaning that they don't get covered by the wings. That was a problem for me on the Mark-15, and this is a better location. Like it more and more. I'm going to set up a "Rebreather World" invitational "dive and try" day aboard EXPLORER sometime in June. This is just a good excuse for people to meet, eat hot-dogs, and do some shallow "fun" diving aboard the boat. If anyone is interested, let me know. I'll have the rig there for show and tell. Might be a haul from Sweden though.... Fredrik, do you have those nice valves in 3/4 (US) thread or just M25? Best, Dave It was only a question, refering to that there was no other rEvo in US before you got one. About the valves Since we got alot of people "Outside Europe" asking the same question as you we are now about to make US cylinder threads as weel. Those valves will also have burst discs. I let you know when they are ready. Last edited by fredrik : 13th April 2007 at 19:58. |

This is a factory sanctioned mission, just so nobody is thinking that Paul is selling them "thru the mail" (which he is not). On the valves, I prefer them to NOT have burst discs, just the correct threads. Burst Discs are legally not required in the USA for personal use, only for shipping gasses as a cargo across state lines by a motor freight company. Dave
