Help for DEMA / DEMA Update

Trying to get a giveaway lined up for ya (pm sent). I'll plan on showing up, as Friday should be fine and dandy w/ me.

stuart just doesnt want to fly with a hangover...

so the venue is the Rosen Centre(, just across the street from the convention center, the locals say its a 5 minute walk from the front of the CC to the hotel.

The party will start as soon as the DEMA show ends on Friday evening, November 10th around 6pm, Stuart and I are working on the snackies menu and there will be a cash bar. The price for the room is astronomical so we are getting donations from CCR and related manufacturers to defray the cost, but we will still need to get about $10 per person to attend. Rebreather World will publish the names of manufacturers who have contributed so we can direct business their way and I think that Stuart will be setting up a RBW friendly Manufacturers section on the site like the friendly destinations section.

Questions can be posted here, or PMed to Stuart or myself.

Whoo-Hoo, this is gonna be fun!

Sure this is in this thread somewhere but if an individual like myself wanted to donate some $$ to help with this party, what is the best method.

I have booked my hotel. I'll be stopping off at the show after completing some more Optima training. If I finish on the earlier side, I will be at the show as early as Wednesday. More likely, I will arrive late Wednesday, at the show for Thursday and Friday.

Where should I look to meet everyone to do pre-party help? Hmmm. I think the badge or other identifier was a good idea. Maybe we should come up with something.

I think this is not a bad idea about the badge identifier. Someone mentioned earlier something about a loop, maybe some graphic designer wiz could come up with some sort of loop, Rebreather World Logo and a place to write the screen name in, and the loop can somehow be attached to the Dema badge..... just toying with the idea.

Cool - glad you didn't move it to Thursday, as that would have totally killed any chance of my getting there.

Friday I think I can do. All depends on whether or not I can check the kiddo out of school early. You don't mind an intrepid 10 year old in tow with me, do 'ya?

Good chance the K1 will make an appearance, if you folks would like to see it.......

Looks like things are beginning to jell nicely. Sure sounds a LOT more involved than the days of the “Glass Pool Inn” - if you were there, you remember.

One thought: Would it be worth it to wheedle one of the folks who is going to be chained to a booth to maintain a strictly VOLUNTARY locator list with name(s)/ hotel location? Nothing on line, even just on paper would be good enough.

Perhaps even something as simple as an unofficially (since EVERYTHING official @ DEMA is BIG $$$) designated spot/ table/ whatever for the Gawd-I-gotta-get-off-my-feet-might-as-well-eat-my-$4-gas-station-sandwitch-I-snuck-in-to-avoid-buying-an-official-$12-sandwitch-that’s-half-the-size-of-my-$4-job moment we’re all going to eventually reach, once the ol’ dogs get to barking. Would of course require secret password & handshake to be passed along only upon penalty of death for revealing to any OC devotes, “wink, wink, nudge, nudge……*”
