Unfortunately, its about 11mm. I think you had the same plan as I did. But the two extra holders you get from a set of Vision electronics are the wrong size. We're going to have to come up with some other way to mount it on an Inspiration mouthpiece.

Or do you have a different cunning plan?
That will work just need 7mm of padding - bit of gaffer tape

Re: Shearwater HUD is shipping

The Beanie adaptor just came in. Apparently Beanie is a genius for thinking of this first. (and apparently an aquaintance of Baldrick!)

These are some pictures taken about 15 minutes after it arrived. It just screws in. But the wires are too short right off the shelf, so I'll have to start leaving them a little longer. Other than that, it will just be a standard unit.

You can plug either a HUD or a Shearwater GF for three sensor decompression.

A friend is bringing over his Inspiration later this afternoon and we'll try it out. We also have to get some mounts for the HUD. There's no place to screw in a KISS arm.

Re: Shearwater HUD is shipping

We have connected up the HUD and the whole thing works great. We still don't have a complete answer for the mounting arm. The HUD comes with an adjustable arm, but there's no screw hole on the Inspiration mouth piece to use. The only screw is actually a part of the open and close assembly.

We will either buy some Vision HUD holders, or have something made. But if you have access to a HUD holder it will work now.

The Shearwater GF plugs in to monitor all three sensors and that is complete now with the Beanie adaptor.

Re: Shearwater HUD is shipping

This looks like a great system. I was saving up for a vr3 to complement my classic kiss, but when i get the money together i will have one o these setups instead.

Cool

I shall get saving
It will mount to the Vision HUD holder with a tiny bit of work
That's if my Dad will let me use his lathe again
