DEMA meet and greet?

With under a month until DEMA, there will be threads on here soon saying: “Who’s going?” or “Where are we going to meet?” etc As numerous people have already said in other threads that they are going, we should be able to get a fair few of us together. (If you want to)

Well I thought I would beat the threads and start a poll as to who is going on what days.

Later we can refine the meeting times and place.

The days are listed below, being the Tuesday 4th, Wednesday the 5th, Thursday the 6th and Friday the 7th. So the obvious meeting day can be arranged.

Sad to say, if DEMA this year is as (let's be charitable here) ummm, ’thin’ as last year, everyone except the exhibitors will be going home by Thursday. Anyone hoping for wide spread attendance might be wise to consider a Wednesday or earlier date.

We are currently putting together a party/get together for either

I will be at DEMA all four days. I would really enjoy meeting any and all of you!

You can find me at the IANTD booth, or, if I am out ogling some new piece of gear, I will leave word when I will be back. Failing that, I will see you at the Mystic Order of Rebreathers party on Thursday (details to be posted here).

I will be there from Sat (before start of dema) to the following Sat.. I will be working the ANDI booth all week.. Stop by and say Hello.. If anyone else is going to get there earlier and would like to get together just drop me a line..

It would be really nice if it could be somewhere where the layout encouraged circulating and mingling rather than sitting everyone down on a table in a crowded restaurant where they can only talk to the person on each side. At the last Vegas Dema there were two Rebreather parties, one at a motel pool that was terrific and one at a restaurant that was not.

Last time I was in Vegas I went to one of the Buffets - Flamingo I think. There were many empty tables out by the windows away from the food, it would be easy to take a bunch of them over and have a pretty good time. Or we could just tailgate somewhere in a motel parking lot!

I agree. The restaurant format doesn't work very well. But it's very easy to set up.

I'm hoping we can have one with our own room like it used to be. I think Rob and Tracy are working on reviving the old format. It will require sponsors and/or an admission charge, but it works way better than a restaurant.

DEMA is Oct 4-7 ?
Which city this year ?
Anyone could get in (i.e. not a vendor) ?
